A working Thermastat
I added this double pole thermastat to my Qmark HBB 1500-wtt baseboard heater. I had originally bought a single pole thermastat from another company, but the heater would not go off even when set on low and the room temp was over 70 degrees. That problem was eliminated with this double pole thermastat. When it is set to 'off', the heater is off. The only problem is with the istallation directions for the wiring that came with the thermastat. I had to research 'how to..' on the internet. Why they don't tell you to attach this color wire to that heater wire is beyond me. But, overall, I am very happy with it. And, The SupplyHouse was quick to ship the product.

I used this thermostat on a Qmark Hydronic Electric Baseboard Heater. The heater is manufactured with all metal materials and parts. This thermostat was made with plastic. Not a big deal I guess, however it just felt a little cheap. All that being said it performed perfectly and fit well. I guess in the end thats really all that matters. BTW i used a double pole on a 120V line to cut the connection to both the neutral and hot lines when the thermostat turns off the heater.

Could not get a refund
Yes, I would buy this product again, but not from Supplyhouse. I ordered the product from them and when it arrived, I could not use it and as it turned out I did not need it. When I tried to return it the people at supplyhouse told that I did not need it and also the dial/knob was too hard to turn as well. They told me it was defective due to the dial and I had to contact the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer they sent me a new one, Great, but supplyhouse won't except the replacement as a return.

Product need design changes
As a thermostat, this thing works fine. But the nob is short and very stiff. Very little to grab hold of. And it's so stiff, my wife can't really turn it. You need strong fingers to get a grip on the nob and turn it. Needs some design changes.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYou can use a wall-mounted thermostat, as long as it is double pole and line-voltage. Two options would be the M602 and the TH1TNDPP.

Q: What is the difference between a single pole and a double pole thermostat? I am buying 2 Qmark baseboard heaters, an HBB1504 and an HBB 504.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffSingle pole is used for 110 volt while double pole is used for 240 volt. For the HBB504 & HBB504 the double pole should be used.
