Description

Note: The manufacturer does not recommend the sensor be directly submersed in liquids. They recommend using a thermal well (bulb well) to protect the sensor.

This sensor can be used to replace the one that came with your Ranco ETC digital temperature controller or multiple sensors can be wired for average temperature sensing. See the instructions for your controller for wiring instructions and recommendations. This sensor is designed for use with ONLY Ranco ETC temperature regulating controls.

It is a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor sensor. The sensor resistance decreases with temperature increase. It is 0.25" x 1.94" long with 8 feet of #22 AWG cable. The thermistor has a reference resistance of 30,000 ohms at 77°F(25°C). Supports temp range of -30°F - 220°F

Dependable

We heat our church baptistry with a small regular water heater hooked up to a pump. The aquastat controls the temperature by turning the pump and heater on and off. We have a casing to waterproof the sensor and it lasts between one and two years. We simply replace the affordable sensor, easy access, and then we're good to go again. Previous ways of heating the baptistry were very costly and never lasted more than a year.

It was better before the change

The sensors used to be in a plastic sleeve, now they are rubber and don't stand up as well in immersion, they were better before, please bring back the old ones

Exact replacement

Don't know who makes the temperature probe for my Ranco controller but this was an exact replacement. Two wires, all dimensions the same. Very happy. The shipping speed is awesome.

White

that is a replacement sensor, so it just connects to the existing sensor wiring, it does not matter. In general terms the white wire goes to the negative terminal. mac word thermalflow

I am sure it does not matter on a rtd sensor. You do not have to worry about hurting anything if it is wrong though. Thank you;
