Flared connections fitted with Flaretite Seals are today’s answer to low cost, high integrity, “Zero-Leak” fittings, while complying with new international standards. This unique seal may be fitted to 45° SAE, refrigeration and gas fittings. The introduction of the Flaretite Seal eliminates the weakness in the original flare design.

The flare is slightly small and would not make work
I have used the Flaretite seals for 3/8" and they work fine. However, 3/4" seals would not seat on the male side of the flare all the way. I tried several times to ensure the issue wasn't me. I even put it on and screwed the flare to see it it works. I could tell the seal itself would be a source of leak if it not seat on correctly. I had to return the box of Flaretite. It is only for 3/4" size. Other sizes should be fine.
