Aquastat Controllers are immersion type devices for limiting or regulating the temperature of liquids in boilers, storage tanks, and other applications where temperature control is required. Honeywell's L4006 are used in applications that utilize the existing wells.
Includes: 1-1/2" (38 mm) well, stop factory-set at 240F (116C).

- Remote bulb model may be used to sense air temperature in ducts and in outside air sensing applications.
- Select models have wells.

Super simplistic install

Q: My plumber installed a L4006A 1967 Honeywell Aquastat because the existing one could not adequately control the temp in my verticell for my domestic hot water. The tem had been about 130F for years now it was almost 160F. I have a Burnham V-34 Boiler. Do you know if adjusting the Differencial would help this problem? What Differencial setting would you recommend for the Aquastat. Please help.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffWhen the aquastat was installed, a heat conductive compound, such as SKU 107408, should have been used inside the well. This compound helps control the heat around the probe of the aquastat.
