Eases Installation
Use of this item provides an easier and cleaner install. I installed with a 90 degree elbow to allow the Recirculation line to be installed downward and closer to the tankless heater, instead of the hardware and PVC connection sticking straight out past the heater. Additionally, to isolate the Recirculation line from the cold water line if needed, I added an isolation valve (shut off) between the Recirculation part and where it enters the cold water part. Overall the Dedicated Recirculation valve is a good product that provides an easy and clean install, but it is a little expensive for a check valve and a drain. My recommendation to Rinnai is that this kit should also include the 90 degree elbow and a shut-off (isolation) valve for the price.

Perfect Fit
This valve replaces the cold water valve shipped with the Rinnai RUR199 tankless. It really simplified the near unit plumbing and as usual SupplyHouse got it to me quickly and without snags
