DOES NOT FIT SENSI RUR199i
ONLY to be used with Models RL75i, RL75e, RL94i, RL94e, RU98i, RU98e, RU80i & RU80e.
I am in the process of installing A SENSI RUR199i water heater and an instruction sheet taped to the cover indicated that you must use either the WIFI or this controller to use the recirculation function. The installation instructions did not mention this controller and the reviews on the WIFI were not the best: especially if you had internet problems as I do with XFINITY. The SENSI Model has a basic control box built into the cover, but as it opened it up to attach this Controller, I discovered that there are no terminals to attach the wires. Rinnai should correct the misleading instructions.

Works just fine, better than Rinnai's Intellisense
It works as specified. No problems once connected. The instruction to connect it could be much simpler. Fro example, it does not matter which wire you connect it to, there are B&W on the unit and W&W on the circuit board plug in. Order does not matter. Getting the pigtail plugged into the circuit board was a b___h.

I tried to set up the recirculation system on the app for a older couple. They just couldn't figure it out and it was no cake walk for me ither. I installed the controller for them and easy peasy! The only way to control recirculation on the rinnai.

Does the trick
It's a little confusing to use but you just have to read the manual very carefully. I'm glad I bought it, because the SmartCirc feature on the water heater does not work as intended (it was recirculating at crazy times in the middle of the night). However this controller does NOT come with the proper 'pigtail'. You MUST also buy: Remote Control Harness, Brand: Rinnai, SKU:105000249

Yes, I would buy this again.
It was very easy to connect/install. Programming it is a little confusing and hard to remember how to do it. It takes some practice but it controls the heater remotely as expected.

Good product but needs a pigtail to connect to Rinnai RUR199
Replaced the WiFi module to control the recirculation pump on a Rinnai RUR199. WiFi reception was poor and the "simple" electronic timer eliminates that problem. However, timer is not that simple to set up, and instructions incorrectly say to connect the two wires to two screw terminals on the PCB. They aren't there on the RUR199 tankless HWH so Rinnai sent me the pigtail to plug into the PCB in place of the WiFi module (supposedly it was to be included with the HWH parts but I never saw it.)
