Nice accessory to control water heater
Aside from running a two-wire circuit, it is an easy install. My only complaint is the installation instructions fail to mention that there is no positive or negare requirement when connecting the wires to the control board. I was fairly certain there was no +/- orientation, but I called Rennai customer service to confirm. The wait time was quite long. The person who answered the phone claimed he could not provide technical assistance. I called a second time and endured another long wait. Luckily, I got an answer on my second try.
The controller is a good product, but Rennai could do better job with documentation and customer assistance.

I would not buy this again
The Max heat is 120 and minimum is 115 I needed it to go down to 98 degrees because the unit works on flow.

I would buy this product again.
The part is working perfectly. We head a power surge that fried my tankless hot water heater control panel I called a plumber and he said it would cost me about One thousand dollars to diagnose and replace control panel. I diagnosed the problem myself. Figured the control panel was fried. I called Supplyhouse and ordered the part. It took 2 days to get the part in the mail. I installed the part and the control panel from Supplyhouse is operating perfectly. I will be calling Supplyhouse in the future for any of my needs.

Good Product
We use this to reduce the temperature of the hot water. It works as described. We wish it would go lower than 115 degrees, but that's the nature of the beast.

Q: What is the max temperature that can be set with the controller. Another user in this thread mentioned that the max is 120F, but that is the default setting.
