Great dehumidifier for large finished basement
I replaced a 20+ yr old version of the same dehumidifier that finally ran out of freon and couldn't be recharged. New unit was well priced compared to other sites. Shipping/delivery was quick and installation a breeze.

Our new Classic is identical to our previous unit.
We use the Classic with a condensate pump in a 2500 square foot concrete block walled basement to keep the humidity below 50 percent to avoid mold. We installed the intake manifold to a 70-foot-long ceiling return duct system and monitor the humidity with a humidistat at that same distance from the unit. The unit's deep throated sound in the condensing mode is not a concern due to its basement location. Overall, it's an efficient and durable unit. We'll see if it's made as well as the first unit which came with the 6-year warranty and ran 24/7/365 for 18 years! 😊
