Description
–
Optional fresh outdoor air may be ducted to the unit via a "T" to the inlet duct. This provides fresh air to dilute pollutants and maintain a normal oxygen content in the air. The amount of fresh air ventilation can be regulated by a variety of dampers and controls.

Well Design and Compact
Installed this to replace a portable dehumidifier of 50 pints capacity. It obviously does require duct work and mechanical work to mount. Quieter than the portable unit and does seem to draw more humidity out of the air. Probably outside of being a DYI project for most. I'll be adding this to home automation in the near future.

I'm a HVAC Contractor and I have installed around 5 units this year and I guarantee you the results are amazing. We have found a house with a relative humidity close to 80% and with this dehumidifier we have lowered it to 50%. You just need it to be installed correctly and by a professional. We have used it with the Nest thermostat and achieved full control of home comfort.

Quiet and effective
I had elevated humidity levels in my house, Since the installation of the Sante-fe Ultra 70 dehumidifier I have noticed a major drop in the humidity.

Q: Hello, We are in the process of buying a house with a cathedral-type ceiling with very poor ventilation. I am looking for a permanent option to mount in the crest of the ceiling for ventilation/dehumidification. Does this unit have to have exhaust ductwork or can you mount this unit as a stand-alone unit and only run piping for drainage? Would this unit work well mounted in the ceiling for this application?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHi Daniel! The recommended installation creates a separate return for the Santa Fe Ultra70 in a central area of the structure. Duct the supply of the unit to the air supply of the existing HVAC system. Connect an insulated duct from outside to provide fresh make-up air (optional).
