Note: Underground burial of SharkBite brass fittings requires that the fitting be wrapped using silicone wrap (25406A).
SharkBite Max slip couplings are ideal for making quick repairs on pipe, the slip end is only compatible with copper or CPVC. Using a single fitting, you can remove up to two inches of damaged pipe to make a repair, with the need for additional pipe or fittings. Max slip couplings are ideal for working in tight spaces and can be leveraged wherever repairs are needed.

Simplifies Repairs and Modifications
Sometimes, splicing in a new fixture or a slight mismeasurement can turn a simple project into an ordeal. Slip couplings and slip-tees can really save your bacon, especially when a precise measurement is tricky to obtain. They can also make future upgrades or replacements far easier.

3/3" slip coupling:
The slip shark bites are great. In a tight area where the customer doesn't want you to cut a larger area to sweat copper. This is the way to go, I will buy them again.

I would definitely buy this product again
I used this to repair a copper pipe with a small hole. It works exactly as descibed. It important to purchase the disconnect clip also. After cutting an inch and a half of damage pipe, it took less than a minute to install this part!

Easy repair
Used this to replace a sweated copper coupling that had a pinhole leak. Re-sweating the joint would have been very difficult due to position. This product made the repair much easier Be sure to clean and debur the pipe as you would for any connection and the coupling is on in a snap.

Q: does the slip coupling have plastic sleeves at each end? do they need to be removed when used with copper pipes.

As per the installation manual "The Tube Support Liner is not required for use with CPVC and copper tubing; however these two types of tubing fit over the Tube Support Liner easily and hold it against the tube stop."
