Sioux Chief 551-P series PadLock full clamp pipe hanger shall be used where
necessary to secure 1/2" or 3/4" CTS supply lines in residential or commercial
applications. Clamp shall be 100% corrosion proof and UV resistant. Clamp shall
be impact resistant to 0°F, and be able to withstand continuous temperatures
up to 160°F. Clamp shall include preloaded continuous ring shank nail or drill tip
screw depending on model number. Nails and screws shall be zinc-plated to resist
rust. Clamp shall be designed to protect tube from damage if nail is overdriven and
designed so that there is no way for tube to escape. Hanger shall be compatible
with CTS copper, PEX or CPVC tube.

Holds better
When close to a fitting (a hanger 4" or 5" away on both sides) I pull the nail out and put a 6x2" sheetrock screw in it' place. I can fit it up then back the screw out and crimp/clamp the fitting. If the plywood or OSB is springy, the screws will go in, nails will bounce.

Works fine
These hangers are for 3/4" tubing, but I used them for 1/2" PEX to allow the PEX to easily and quietly slide when it expands. The hanger is split, allowing you to pop in the tubing after the hanger is nailed up. I needed to change the orientation of the hanger - so I drilled a new hole in the hanger and moved the nail to the new hole.
