These Sioux Chief offset flanges feature a stainless steel ring that won't ever rust and properly holds the toilet t-bolts from spinning when tightening or loosening. Other brands have regular steel rings or poorly stamped stainless ones that allow the bolts to spin(here's looking at you Oatey). These feature a nice 45° slope. These offset flanges require no less than 2-3/8" of depth under the top of the finished floor until the top of the fitting or pipe(inside 4" pipe or outside 3" pipe). You will also need to cut the floor and grind some tile to clear the angle of the pvc while still allowing enough material to screw into. It takes some time to do properly but it's better than a toilet that is too far or close from the wall or off to one side or the other.

This Sioux Chief flange is superior to most others with it's stainless steel metal ring which will not rust away. It moves the center of a toilet pipe about 1-3/4" in whichever direction you choose. A standard toilet used a 12" rough from the back finished wall and at least 15" from the sides of any wall, cabinet, sink, tub, or shower. Good for when a beam or joist keeps you from putting the pipe where it should be in the first place. The angled section of the flange simply rides over the beam assuming you have a healthy 1-1/2" or so of subfloor and tilework on top of the joist. From the top of the finished floor down to the pvc pipe you will need about 2-1/4" to 2-1/2". This will glue inside of 4" pvc pipe or over 3" pvc pipe.
