Your ad said the OD was 1 1/4 inch well that is the ID not the OD!!!!! The Od is 1 5/8 inch!!!! Unless to me!!!!

I used these to install an amalgam separator for an existing dental vacuum system.

I ordered two of these for a water filtration system I designed out of Sch80. I had a 1" x 3/4" reducing tee, and cemented this reducing female adapter in, for connecting a 1/4" NPT water pressure gauge to a PVC80 system. Both adapters cracked clean in half after cementing in, before threading anything in. Split clean through at a casting joint, with a 1/16" gap all the way through perpendicular to the threads, so will never be able to handle any pressure. Every other Spears component worked perfectly as expected, but these were very poor quality manufacturing or quality control. Of course, ruined two of my assembly section including to halves of unions, so much bigger loss than just the adapters. They were not cracked when I primed/cemented them. Ultimately I retrofitted threaded 3/4" tee with a threaded 3/4-->1/4 reducing adapter, as that is what I could find locally.
