If it's leaking by the flange just be carful to tighten both ends of the flange evenly. My only experience of having to change the cartridge was my circulator stopped circulating but it never leaked. Sent from my iPad
I have replaced two of these, they are a lot cheaper and easier to replace the cartridge than the whole pump. As I recall the only reason I had to replace them was when the ceramic bearings wore out, due to low water in my radiant floor system. The whole cartridge was designed to be encapsulated with fluid, which is the only lubricant for the ceramic bearings, if they are dry they burn up fast. Verify that your leak is really from the large o-ring seal and not from an inlet or outlet pipe. Also there must be another hole in the case for the electrical wires, I have never looked at them close, but they must penetrate the housing under the little electrical shroud where the wires connect. Also if it is really leaking around the big o-ring is there a nick or rusty spot in the cast iron frame that could keep the o-ring from sealing properly. one last thought how high is the pressure in your system, these pumps where put in low pressure systems under 20Lbs pressure normally, my system has a 12lbs pressure regulator. I have been using the Tyco pump for over 20 years and have found them to be durable as long as they never go dry on the bearings (or have grit or foreign material in the liquid). Good luck
No, the 0011-BF4-J calls for a 0011-010RP cartridge (it is a bronze pump).
No, it will not work. For the 0011-SF4, you need to use 0011-010RP.
