The Taco 009-IFC with Integral Flow Check (IFC) is designed to reduce installation costs when zoning with "00" circulators on a wide range of residential and light commercial, higher-head/lower-flow water circulating applications. Typical uses include hydronic heating, radiant in-floor/panel heating and closed-loop solar heating systems.
The stainless steel 009-IFC can be used in higher-head/lower-flow heat recovery, open-loop solar heating and light commercial domestic water recirculation systems.

Conundrum
This product works well and is easy to replace. However, replacing after only six months is not acceptable. The warranty procedure was so onorous, I just went a head and bought a new one. I didn't want our hot water supply to take so long to get to kitchen and bathrooms to take weeks or months to be resolved, plus shipping a heavy item is not cheap anymore. I do have confidence to just change the actuator next time and have a replacement on order. My first pump lasted over ten years. This is the third or fourth replacement since. Bottom line, if building or placing a pump for the first time, I would look elsewhere.

Faster than the local supply
This was exactly the circulating pump I needed for our three story 8plex apt bldg. With 16 bathrooms and 8 kitchens I saw a 5x spike in my water bill when it got cold from tenants having to run a lot of water to get hot water to their apt. This came in faster than my local plumbing supply could bring it in.
