I would not think so, the extra cost because there is more than on seal to protect water from getting into the motor. This will prevent the water from electrical current flow.
I don't use dielectric unions when connecting to copper and have never had a problem with the flange, pump or copper.
No, but a better way is to use a Webstone flange as it is brass and will work with any 2 bolt pump flange.
If i was using copper, would put the union in, will save a lot of work later.

Yes the O ring should be in the bag that is all you need. It is hard to believe that it will hold water but those flanges work very well. Just get the O ring seeting in the groove line it up and tighten it down.
Yes I also recommend putting ball valves in the line on either side of the flanges to facilitate easy and swap out of the pump in the future without draining the whole system down
