The Tekmar Universal Sensor 071 has a zinc sleeve for fast response and a wide operating range. These sensors can be used in a multitude of applications. The 071 is supplied with 10 inches (250mm) of two conductor wire.

Second One in Less Than a Year, Third One in Three Years
Kudos to SupplyHouse for carrying an OEM part, having the best price, and fast shipping. I bought this same part last year and it failed in less than a year. The original part lasted only two years. For a thermistor, this is poor quality. Good news is I am getting a warranty replacement. Bad news is it is not likely to be any more reliable. I will look for a non-OEM replacement in the future..

Supply House is great, sensor fails every 9 months to 2 year
This is used on my heating system and pretty much needs to be replaced every year. It has even failed in the summer when I am not using heat. The poor reliability has been an issue for at least five years. A few times, it failed within a year and was replaced under warranty. It is unfortunate as the Tekmar works great.

Just what I needed
My Tekmar controller was reporting that the boiler sensor was open and/or it would report an incorrect temperature. This was then, in turn, messing with the mixing valve for the radiant loops. Popped this new sensor in and all was good.
