115V 4 Speed Motor - 1/3HP, 1075RPM, 48Y, MOT18948

Our 21 year old Trane blower motor was starting to squeal. Figured I'd need a new motor soon. It was easy for me as a homeowner to order the right part over the phone with Supply House. Parts arrived quickly and everything was well-packed. Then the a/c system started icing up and we called in a tech. He said the blower motor was cutting out due to overheating and I would need to order a new motor. We live in the middle of nowhere Wyoming and finding repair parts is always a challenge. I told him I already had a new motor and plunked the box down. He looked shocked. But he saw "Supply House" on the box and never questioned whether I ordered the correct part. He just grabbed it and installed it right then. He was also impressed I had ordered the correct motor capacitor as well. Because I had all the parts on hand, the rest of the service call went super smoothly. He had time to clean the inside a/c coils and hose out the outside condenser and top off the refrigerant. I would purchase this product again (though i hope i dont have to). Easy install, all connectors were already on motor. Plug and play, been running for a couple weeks now.

Once a finally obtained the manufacturer part number, by calling and speaking to Trane ( that was easier said then done) and by comparing photos, I was confident I had the correct motor. Luckily my tenant was able and willing to replace , installation went smooth he said. Someone with some level of mechanical ability would be able to do, especially with videos on YouTube. Price was best I found from my memory. Good idea to order a new capacitor, just a few bucks, verify it's not just a failed capacitor first also. Shipped and arrived when they said, good communication by email through supply house.
