Great to work with

I used this product to connect Runtal radiators. Very easy to work with, crimps onto connections well, and I have no leaks or complaints about this.

I had no other choice

I had installed the ultra fun product, which I purchased from Supply House. It was so noisy as if critters were crawling in my floors. Since the house was finished except the flooring, I had no other choice than to use this product. No noise and works well. Supply house said they give a discount but have not received one.

Uponor HePe ... Great Priduct!

This is an excellent product for hydronic heating systems. It must be secured at much closer intervals since it does tend to grow with temperature.

Never had a problem with hePex

I've been using hePex for years without any problems. Seems to be a good Type A pex. Supplyhouse delivers quickly and correctly. The few times I've received the wrong part the folks at Supplyhouse have fixed the problem quickly, without any hassle.

It has a 1.625" OD.

- Northeaster

OD is 1-1/2". Same as 1-1/2" copper but ID is slightly smaller than copper. Based on tests even though it has a smaller ID it flows just as well as copper due to less friction and typically fewer 90's and 45's.

Q: can I insulate oxygen barrier pipe, bury in the ground from a outside wood boiler to a inside modine heater and also can i run antifreeze in this system with out ruining the pipe and will it hold in heat or should I use the portable pex pipe [which one keeps heat in the best ?] portable or oxygen

You can use this PEX. Both potable and oxygen barrier PEX have the same heat loss. Oxygen barrier PEX is used to prevent oxygen from passing through the tubing in closed systems.

Q: I am installing a monlithic slab in my basement and wanted to take opportunity to install radiant heating in my new slab. I am already using 3/4 inch baseboard on other floors and I have a zone availabale on my boiler. The basement slab will be a least 3 inches thick. the sq footage is 500 sq ft. (33ft x 15ft). what size tubing I should I be using? I know I will have to use hePEX plus tubing since I will be embeding in concrete. Is there documentation on how to properly install in concrete?

Q: Can I use 5/16" pex to feed hot water to a faucet in my bathroom?

We would not recommend it. This tubing is not NSF approved for use with potable water and 5/16" will likely not give you enough flow.
