poor fit
I agree with other reviewers, poor fit into PE pipe. Slips into PE pipe easily so therefore leaks easily. I finally stopped my leak by over-tightening clamps using socket wrench. Disappointing paying this much for a fitting.

polyethylene size wrong
Same issue as previous review. Doe not fit properly into the polyethylene black pipe.. Fitting may be correct for polybutylene pipe..

Transition fitting
I am amazed by the review of 1 star! This fitting is not designed for well style poly pipe;) this is for pex A & B pipe. I typically will transition from crimp style to expander pex using this fitting and love it.

Poor Fit on Insert Side
Fitting insert portion is too small for standard 1" black well service Poly. Fitting slips right into poly with no resistance. Typically you want to have to heat the poly and slip a slightly oversize insert portion into the poly. The insert portion of the fitting is also a bit short. Two hose clamps barely fit next to each other. All poly insert connections should be secured with two hose clamps. This fitting leaks. The last issue is the "ribs" on the insert side are much too shallow for a good bite into the poly to keep from allowing the fitting to slip off. A good redesign would be to simply machine for less shallow "ribs" at least. This would deal with the diameter problem.
