3/4" ProPress Bronze Stiffener Insert

Just what you need to repair baseboard splits from freeze ups. We know how difficult cutting very thin copper is. Pressing a repair is easy with this reinforcement fitting. Versus sweating near furniture etc.

This is the best way to ProPess in a SlantFin radiator. Fast and efficient

I've pressed radiators without these with no issues but feel a lot better about after learning about these inserts.

Soldering hydronic baseboards is time consuming and materials to accomplish the work. Makes job easier, insert and press.

I purchased these to avoid soldering in a confined space. They are more fiddly to install than I expected, as they are an extremely snug fit. Although the end is tapered they still require an almost perfectly square cut on the tubing. I had compressed the tube slightly when using my tubing cutter so tapped in a PEX expansion head to open it back up, then used a wire brush to clean out old iron oxide. The insert fitting then went in with some light hammer taps. It would easier to use with a steeper taper.

VERY EASY

Works great makes the pipe rigid so it doesn't crush to far and causing a leak. Hydronic baseboard elements are very thin which makes this product perfect for the job

These machined brass inserts fit into the end of your standard 3/4 copper baseboard tubing to reinforce the thin wall so you can securely use propress fittings on it. Be aware if you squeeze the tubing with a cutter you will struggle to get them in.
