You can do this. Water pressure will be sufficient to permit the supply at the bottom of the unit.
In order to do that, you would need to use six 46624 adapters ( http://www.pexsupply.com/Viega-46624-Brass-PEX-Crimp-Port-Adapter-3-8-PEX-Crimp-x-1-2-Port-Zero-Lead ).
It measures 29-1/2" tall, 8" wide, and 3" deep. Please refer to the following manual for more information: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1274210369561/30832_PROD_FILE.pdf
The packages are identical except for the supply adapters. If you will be connecting PEX to the MANABLOC, you should use the crimp supply. If you plan to use copper, NPT will be your best bet.
these kits come with all the connections you need, instead of buying them separately. The supply fittings are the two fittings at top where hot/cold come into the manifold. With crimp fittings, they will crimp directly to 3/4" PEX. With NPT fittings, there will be a NPT thread to attach to a copper female threaded fitting or to a flexible hose or whatever else you want. These supply fittings are required, as you can't attach anything else directly to the manifold without them.
