Hello, thanks for writing in. The Manabloc supply adapters have proprietary threading on them that will only fit the Manabloc supply inlets. For a 3/4" NPT x 3/4" PEX crimp adapter, please see SKU: PXF075-DZR - https://www.supplyhouse.com/Bluefin-PXF075-DZR-3-4-PEX-x-3-4-NPT-DZR-Brass-Female-Adapter-Lead-Free
Yes, crimp supply adapters are compatible with stainless steel PEX clamp fittings.
Sure. You could hook it up to a valve for easy draining of the cold side only I believe. I've yet to have to use mine to drain the system ever.
Yes, I believe that is correct. I put a pressure gauge on mine there. Just take the fitting to your plumbing supply store and match up the threads. I think it's 1" MIP if I remember correctly. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1q07kfajuez35le/2014-01-20%2016.51.44.jpg Take Care. Greg K. Cooper Huntsville, Alabama
Actually, Jake, I'm not quite sure I understand your question. I remember buying some of these adapters because they did not come with my Manabloc, but I needed them. My recollection is that the 3/4" supply fittings at the bottom of the Manablock feed water in. Drain? Sorry, don't know. Jeff
The bottom port is your supply port. The top ports are outlet for hot and cold. I don'i really know if you can drain it. Pex tubing is able to expand a little. We just had the cokdest night of the year a week ago. It got down to 32 degrees for two hours. We don't worry about drains in S Texas.
Yes. This is the correct fitting for the supply lines.
I understand your disappointment about the supply fittings. If your planning on using ¾” PEX for you manifold supply with crimp connector, then the SKU 46414 is correct. You may want to consider the poly fitting, which is about half price. Good Luck, WKM
No those adaptors are only designed for pex crimp. However there are other adaptors available.
No, has to be Pex Hookups its not a standard thread
No, the adapter has a male o-ring specifically designed for the manabloc. If you must adapter I would try another fitting all together.
The short answer is NO. Sorry. WKM
Stainless steel clamps will not work. The copper crimp rings will. Compression style is also an option.
No, this adapter can only be secured to 3/4" PEX with a crimp or clamp fitting connection. If you want to make a 3/4" ProPEX connection at MANABLOC supplies, use parts 46646 and LF4577575.
No, I don't believe it will. The manablock adapter is designed for use with the crimp style attachments. I'm not as familiar with the expansion style Pex installation; however, if the product is not specifically designed for it, I'd use the crimp rings.
Easy, no it will not work. As stated in the ad, only crimp or stainless steel clamps will work. I don't know of any propex type adapter available for the manabloc that will work with the expander tool. That said, you might want to invest in the stainless steel clamp tool. One thing that is not published about this tool is that when you turn it 90 deg. you can use it to cut off the clamp and reuse the fitting. Very cool. The fittings for crimp or stainless steel clamps are distinctly different than the propex fittings. Be careful when you buy fittings that you get the right ones. Also, it is best to use pexA pipe for the propex. It stretches better and will not fail like the pexB and Pex C pipe. All in all, the most flexible and least expensive system to invest in is the stainless steel clamp system. One tool with no need for any changes for use with pipe size and clamps from 3/8-1". and it works with any kind of pex pipe.
No it would not. The crimp connectors' OD is just right to slip inside standard PEX (which includes UPONOR) without expanding the PEX at all, with the expectation of being crimped smaller with the standard copper ring & crimp tool. The ProPex expander system expands the PEX before you slip it onto a larger diameter fitting, and it shrinks down for a tight fit (aided by the plastic ring placed around the joint before expanding). ProPex being proprietary to UPONOR, Viega doesn't offer compatible fittings. But you can use the ProPex system everywhere else and get a crimper & rings for the connections to the manifold.
This fitting is for the supply lines. Fittings for the distribution loop branches are included with MANABLOCs/MINIBLOCs and only come in 1/2" and 3/8" sizes.
The MANABLOC uses supply adapters with unique thread (i.e. nothing else will work). They are only available in 3/4" and 1" sizes. Therefore, it is impossible to connect a 1/2" line directly to the MANABLOC, although you could adapt in-line near the manifold or to the threaded adapter. That said, we would not recommend feeding the MANABLOC with 1/2" because it would not give you adequate flow.
The 3/4" crimp MANABLOC Supply Adapter (part 46414) is compatible with standard crimping rings and crimping tools.
Yes, I used the same crimping tool for all my 3/4" Pex connections.
