Description
–
Series Cu7 Copper-Body Dual Check Valves prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the drinking water supply at the service entrance or at individual outlets. It consists of a lead-free, copper, poppet-type body construction, that minimizes pressure drop and provides smooth flow characteristics. Series Cu7 straight-line design is ideal for use in non-health hazard residential water system containment and continuous pressure applications. It can be installed in a vertical or horizontal position and is furnished with double unions for ease of installation and repair. Check with local inspection authorities for installation requirements. Minimum Working Pressure: 10psi (69 kPa), Maximum Working Pressure: 150psi (10.34 bar).

Worked like a champ
I installed this to prevent back-flow from my sprinkler system. I was wondering how well it would work. Turns out the insides were installed backwards. So I can tell you it works great. Not a drop of water came through it. When not installed, the insides push right out so it is easily serviced. I just turned the insides around and now it works properly. One star deduction for need to remove and fix it.

To the best of my knowledge it works.
The water line that feeds my detached garage, broke the other week and I noticed that the original owners didn't have this line isolated, so I installed this double check after my water heater in the branch that travels underground to my garage in the attempt to secure my domestic water from possible contamination caused by any leaks in the underground section of pipe. I guess it is working we haven't got sick yet.
