Maintenance Of 105 Ultra Gas Boiler
After 3.5 years from installation, it was time to clean the heat exchanger on my 105 Ultra gas boiler (the manufacturer recommends this be done once a year). This heat exchanger cleaning tool with handle is very useful in cleaning the dirty heat exchanger. It took about 1.5 to 2.0 hours to thoroughly clean the heat exchanger after 3.5 years of use. The maintenance procedure went well and the 105 gas boiler fired right backup with a nice blue, well shaped, gas burner flame.

Nice tool but pricey
A nice tool to service the ultra boiler, a bit pricey seeing it is basically a flat piece of metal with a handle on it, there was no picture of this tool on the website, if it said snap on it I would understand why so much, it can easily be made from a piece of scrap in your garage

Necessary
I hear of people using saw blades. This tool, which is really just a long piece of spring steel, is actually key to a good job. Amazingly long way through the heat exchanger. This gets all the way. Key to a pro job.

Useful but pricey tool
Useful for cleaning the heat exchanger, and it is easy to use. Seems to effectively clean off the crusty bits. But it's bone simple: a strip of metal in a plastic handle. So the price is way too high for what you get, even though it does work well. This item should actually be included in the maintenance kit, which already commands a high price.

Performs as designed
Performed maintenance on my WM230 boiler. Tool was easy to use. Previous owner never performed any maintenance in nearly 7 years. Heat exchanger was a dirty, corroded mess which lead to the unit over heating. Unit runs fine and at a lower heating temperature once the unit was properly cleaned. WM support was EXCELLENT!

As it is sturdy stainless steel, it can be used for years. It does get covered with rust from the burners themselves, however, so it becomes less cosmetic. Jim James C. Megas
