I've replaced this part 4 or 5 times in the past and have never had the problem of which you speak. Maybe spraying the bolts a couple times a year with something like "WD-40" would help. Certainly won't hurt. Glenn
First off use anti-seize on the screws when you replace them. Also the screws should be stainless. I noticed a replacement Robert Shaw ignitor is thinner @ the mounting holes so the stock screws protrude into the burn chamber. The best penetrant to loosen bolts I have found is "old school" GM (automotive) heat riser lube.
