I would absolutely buy this product again.
I have been diagnosed with macular degeneration and it was very upsetting not to be able to read my previous thermostat. This one is wonderful. The numbers are large and clear and it's so very easy to set. I have two of them both located in a hallway and I don't have to turn on lights or use a flashlight to see the panel. I am so happy that I found this product. It made life so much easier for me. I would highly recommend this product even to those who do not have a sight problem. The black numbers on the blue background stand out. I sound like a kid in a candy shop but to me this became an important issue and I eliminated a problem. Thanks to the person who made this product to suit the needs of an 86 year old with impaired vision. I can't rave about it enough. Thank you.

Failed 2 Weeks After Installation
I have a 2 transformer system with no common wire. After 2 days the back light started to turn on and off by itself every 10 seconds. After 2 weeks the cooling section of the thermostat stopped working. Instead it kept clicking and turning on and off the inside fan for one sec and turned it off and on again almost burning it out and the compressor never turned on.
Supply House was terrific and sent me a new one overnight.
This new replacement has been working now for a little over 3 weeks. I will let you guys know if it fails again.

The thermostat I use it about 4 years. It works fine. But broken 2 times and they replace it with me twice. So it's a good item because they've kept the words and services very nicely. Thanks so much!

Failed 2 Weeks After Installation

Easy to install thermostat. Fits 99% of the applications out there. Bright blue display allows easy reading without being too intrusive.

Misleading Literature
The literature indicates, more than once, that in program run mode the program step will be displayed, such as day or eve. I called WR customer service nearly a year ago on this and he confirmed that the step will not be displayed, in spite of what the lit says. He also said they would change the literature. I wonder when? This feature is important to me, perhaps not to everyone.

Bought as replacement for my 18 years old thermostats. First time in my life replaced thermostats and took me about 30 minutes. Works great and really EZ to install and setup. The best of all is did not even call support.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffPress OFF to turn Heat/A/C/Fan off. Press A/C to place thermostat in air conditioning mode. Q: I just purchased the W/R Blue easy reader, I am replacing a GE 3AAT8081A1 - 7 wires, Unsure of the wiring?? Where do the 7 wires go on new thermostat/ Colors are orange green,white,,brown,white jumper,green and red.Can you help??

Q: Does this unit retain the time/date settings as well as the program during power outages? Assume their is a battery installed.

Q: My current old mechanical bimetal thermostat has two terminals - an R and a W that connect to a red and white pair of wires and that's all. I want to go programmable with a thermostat like the Eazy Reader. Does this thermostat have corresponding R and W terminals marked "R" and "W" that I can connect my Red and White wires to?

according to the installation / configuration instruction manual : 10) Select Backlight Display – The display backlight improves display contrast in low lighting conditions. When the "C" terminal is powered, selecting backlight dL ON will keep the light on continuously. Select backlight OFF will turn the light on momentarily after any button is pressed. When the "C" terminal is not powered, the light will be on momen- tarily after any button is pressed no matter whether the backlight is selected ON or OFF.
