Remote enabled thermostat
As an integral part of a Thermostatic valve installation in an eight family house, with a gas fired boiler/steam system, this thermostat fits the bill. It enables the use of two remote sensors though I use only one, to monitor the temperature in an apartment. This enables me to place the thermostat in the cellar for convenient access. I may easily check the boiler and thermostat settings to see the system is functioning correctly while not climbing five flights of stairs. As there are eighteen radiators in the building and different conditions in every apartment due to insulation, exterior walls, window sizes and various thermal factors to consider, by installing thermostatic valves on radiators and using this thermostat as a master control effectively delivers heat. This thermostat has four set times to conserve heat and yet provide the comfort for each tenant. The utility of having remote capability provided by this thermostat is a perfect match.

Fan Circulator feature removed
Bought this thermostat specifically for the Circulator fan cycling feature. After installation, the automatic cycling was nowhere to be found. I contacted Emerson support and was told that the feature had been removed permanently from the product. Unfortunately, that fact has rendered this purchase an utter waste of time and money.

Great thermostat

Supply House service was excellent
The product works just fine, as expected. What was unexpected: the original shipment got screwed up, for some reason ending up in Chicago, almost certainly a shipping company error, as all the address info was correct. When I called about it, I was shipped a replacement immediately, got here in a couple days, no problem.
I was impressed. it would have been easy to blame the shipping company and shirk responsibility, but that's not what they did - instead, they took care of it. In the (I hope, unlikely) event I need more HVAC parts, I' definitely go here again.

Q: I am looking for a thermostat where, after programming in the entire week, I can manually hold the temperature for a set amount of time. For example. If I leave at noon on Friday and know that I am coming home around 1:00 pm on Saturday, can I hold the temperature for 24 hours at a lower setting and then let it revert back to the programmed temperature to turn the furnace on at noon on Saturday?
