yes, this is the correct replacement. Thanks!
Physically yes, but they have very different features.
On page 8 of the 1F97-1277 model it states for OPERATING YOUR THERMOSTAT: Manual Operation (Bypassing the Program) Programmable Thermostats Press up ("+" ) or down ("-" triangle [points down]) and the HOLD button and adjust the temperature wherever you like . This will override the program . The HOLD feature bypasses the program and allows you to adjust the temperature manually, as needed . Whatever temperature you set in HOLD will be maintained 24 hours a day, until you manually change the temperature or press Run Schedule to cancel HOLD and resume the programmed schedule. Program Override (Temporary Override) Press up ("+" ) or down ("-" triangle [points down]) buttons to adjust the temperature. This will override the temperature setting for a (default) four hour over- ride period. The override period can be shortened by pressing left "-" pointing triangle, or lengthened by pressing right "+" pointing triangle. Program Override period can range from 15 minutes to 7 days. Example: If you turn up the heat during the morning program, it will be automatically lowered later, when the temporary hold period ends. To cancel the temporary setting at any time and return to the program, press Run Schedule.
Mine doesn't. I have two of them and they both turn off after several seconds. I am not in front of mine right now so I can't tell you exactly how long it takes for them to shut off.
No to change press MENU, Hold Installer Config for 5 sec, Press the + button 10 times, Press the <- button once to choose DL off. Press RUN. All set.
It is "CLEARLY" written in the instruction that the only way to keep the blue light on is it requires a power source. I'm sorry for being harsh but read the instructions.
It is ok if it stays on all the time. If you don't like that you can easily have it automatically turn off after so many seconds after you last touched the screen. It is an easy change in the set up menu. I leave mine on all the time. It is a nice night light in my hallway at night. Sent from my iPad
The blue backlight stays on all the time only if powered from the transformer on the furnace or air conditioner. If you are using batteries, the light is only on when you touch the screen.
The blue screen goes off after a period of time. It comes back on if somebody touches the screen, then goes off again if it is not touched for a while. Dave D.
Bertha, The Blue light is just temporary, it does not stay on all the time. Just press the display, away from control keys and it will come on. Patrick R Spencer Done Right Services Inc.
You can program the light to stay on all of the time or turn on when you touch the screen and will turn off after several seconds.. You can have two intensities of light a HI or a LO back light.
Recheck the wires are connected to correct terminals
miswired - you need to find and label correct wires.
The only way to keep the back light on is to wire it to a 24v system. It will not stay on if you are using batteries.
You should be able to use the 1F97-1277, but the wiring configuration may be a little different.
Please refer to the following manual for Installation Instructions: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1249544587127/White_Rodgers_1F97-1277_Instructions.pdf
The manufacturer recommends model 1F80-0471 as the replacement for your thermostat.
If the thermostat you are replacing is larger then the 1F97-1277, you will need a wallplate.
