Right part first time
Replacement HSI for Trane 80 series furnace. An inexpensive replacement part to keep your furnace running properly. This HSI is 80 vac designed to work with the WR 50A65-843. Will not properly fire with WR 50A55-843. Check control first. After installation furnace is on 4th week of flawless operation.

The product is defective.
Unfortunately, the quality of this particilar product has been declining over the years. Initially, this ignitor lasted 2 years before it needed to be replaced. Then it only lasted a year. Now it only lasted a few weeks and I have replace it again.

The igniter went out in my furnace. I tried to buy the part locally but nobody was willing to sell it to me because I am not a contractor. The part replacement was easy and worked perfectly.
I searched online and found SupplyHouse. I called and they confirmed the part was in stock, where it was located and that I would have it the next day.
