Uponor MLC Tubing is a multi-layered composite tubing consisting of an interior aluminum tubing lined with inner and outer layers of PEX. Layers are bonded to the aluminum by a special adhesive. MLC offers 100% oxygen diffusion, protects against corrosion and can be embedded in concrete and installed in walls, floors and ceilings.
The flexibility of MLC tubing results in easy roll-outs. The stay-in-place rigid feature of the tubing works great for hydronic baseboard, radiator, unit heaters, air handlers or manifold connections.

MultiPress MLC PEX-AL-PEX Fittings and PEX-AL-PEX Compression Fittings can be used to make piping and manifold connections with this tubing.
PEX-al-PEX Chamfering Tool (1/2", 3/4", 1") is required to ensure the tubing is prepped for secure connections.

Perfect for my project
We tore out wall to open up our dining room and needed to reroute 3 - 3/4 inch copper lines feeding zone systems on the 2nd and 3rd floors. This was much easier to run then sweating together numerous pieces of copper.

multicor tubing
Roles out very nice does not get sloppy when boiler water runs through it. does bend enough to fit in a 2/10 bay with on fittings. Over 6,0000 feet installed and no problems.

Anything marked 1/2" can use 1/2" clips. Only Pex-al-Pex is different

Yes no problem. Just make sure they are made of plastic. No metal. Pex needs to expand and contract. Make sure you also not go more than 30" apart Sent from my iPhone

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffNo, SharkBite fittings are not compatible with PEX-Aluminum-PEX. Use MLC fittings or PEX-AL-PEX compression fittings with MultiCor tubing.

Shark Bite or Pro-Bite fittings cab be used on any Pex Pipe (except maybe Pex-AL-Pex and even PVC pipe!

Q: I need to run 3/4" PEX from the main loop to a remote manifold that is approx 35 feet away. Is there any advantage to using MultiCor compared to the ThermaPEX or HePEX products?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffMultiCor is PEX-AL-PEX tubing. PEX-AL-PEX has the advantages of being more rigid (important in joist installations) and less susceptible to linear expansion.
