This item is only available until stock depletes.Uponor MLC Tubing is a multi-layered composite tubing consisting of an interior aluminum tubing lined with inner and outer layers of PEX. Layers are bonded to the aluminum by a special adhesive. MLC offers 100% oxygen diffusion, protects against corrosion and can be embedded in concrete and installed in walls, floors and ceilings.
The flexibility of MLC tubing results in easy roll-outs. The stay-in-place rigid feature of the tubing works great for hydronic baseboard, radiator, unit heaters, air handlers or manifold connections.
Uponor MLC tubing is manufactured to the following standard:
- ASTM F1281 (Standard Specification for Cross-linked Polyethylene/Aluminum/Cross-linked Polyethylene (PEX-AL-PEX) Pressure Pipe
Uponor MLC tubing carries the following Standard Grade Hydrostatic ratings from Plastic Pipe Institute (PPI):
- 200 degrees F at 100 psi
- 180 degrees F at 125 psi
- 140 degrees F at 160 psi
- 73 degrees F at 200 psi

MultiPress MLC PEX-AL-PEX Fittings and
PEX-AL-PEX Compression Fittings can be used to make piping and manifold connections with this tubing.
PEX-al-PEX Chamfering Tool (1/2", 3/4", 1") is required to ensure the tubing is prepped for secure connections.
