This does not come with air hammers. You really don't need them with Pex. I have installed several of these outlets and never heard even a peep of water hammer.
Does not come with water hammer arrestors , however since you are using pex there will not be the banging associated with water hammer. unless you have household pressure exceeding 60 psi you probably don't need to worry about it.
The box is made of high-impact polystyrene.
No glue is required. The valves attach to the box via the supplied nuts. The valves have a barbed fitting, which accepts 1/2" pex tubing. You must have an expansion tool, 1/2" collars, and 1/2" pex tubing to make the connection
The valves included with this box connect to 1/2" PEX-A grade tubing at the inlets via a ProPEX connection (proper expansion tool required). The outlets have standard 3/4" garden hose thread.
The 1/2 inch is for the ProPex connection. Washing machine is still the 3/4 inch
Hiya Without looking with a ruler I would say it uses the ¾" hoses for the washing machine. I installed my system without any problems. Good luck Sent from my iPad
It's a standard washing machine fitting for 1/2 inch propex. My hoses are the same on both ends that I attached between the washer and these fittings.
it's 1/2" pex to 3/4 hose
The threaded coupling for the washer hose is standard size (3/4"). You'll be fine. I installed one of these a couple years ago and hooked up a typical washer hose from Home Depot to it. Sent from my iPhone
yep it's 1/2 inch PEX to standard washer dryer. Becareful if you have an inspection though, this box failed in San Francisco because it has to be a metal box to pass code here. No idea what your local code is, here in CA they are ridiculous! All the Best, Trip
I bought one of these a year or so ago, and it installed nicely. The PVC drain pipe that fits it is 2". I just measured it to be sure. Good luck with your project! - Doug
I think it's an 1 1/2" PVC.
This has two receptacles which accept 1-1/2" drain line. Connections are made with standard pvc pipe cement.
2 inch sch 40
Mine is on a 2" stand pipe behind the washer.
This and all laundry wall boxes I have seen use 2" drains.

No--this is a ProPEX fitting.
Pete, I am a beginner with plumbing, but I can tell you that the ProPEX type fitting is unique. It should only be used with the expander tool, expander rings, and PEX-A tubing. Shark Bite fittings look similar to ProPEX but they are not the same. Most hardware stores sell Shark Bite valves, then all you would need is a traditional washing machine outlet box.
Pete, I'm no professional, but after using this product and the sharkbite brand I'd have to say no. The rings on the connection are completely different.
