Yes, you can use this for a tub spout. The thing to be aware of, however, is that the piping from the mixing valve to the tub spout will be changing direction from vertical to horizontal at 90 degrees. This creates more back pressure. I did this exact same thing, and now there is a little too much pressure, and when I turn on the tub spout, a little water comes out of the shower head above due to the pressure. Not a lot, but some does. I believe they recommend using one of their radius elbows to bend the PEX gradually before getting to the tub spout to prevent this pressure from occurring.
Yes that would be perfectly acceptable attached to blocking
Yes, these are meant for tub spouts, shower heads, spigots, etc.
Yes but use 1/2 inch Sent from my iPad
Yes you can, however it's more expensive by the time you include a brass nipple. From my Android phone on T-Mobile. The first nationwide 4G network.
I think my use was for a toilet supply, so I just attached a nipple and valve. Anchored to a 2X4 attached horizontally to the studs. It's rock solid. ProPEX is great, just remember that you need an expander.
It would work well, these are pretty strong if you use adequate sized screws.
Yes, as long as you are feeding the shower with 1/2" PEX-A tubing and you're using ProPEX expansion fittings.
I don't see why not. I'm using it for a shower head coming out of the wall. It has 3 "ears" do those should be secured with deep enough screws to handle the weight of your shower head.
Yes, it will work perfectly for both wall and ceiling mounted shower heads.
Yes
I would suppose you could. I have used for same application out of the wall
Sure. It should work fine.
Yes you could with a reducer to 1/2", but may run into issues with how far it sticks out the wall. Another thought is to use a reducer as the pipe goes up and then use a 1/2" drop ear.
It depends on the requirement ofthe Rain Shower. You could also get the LF4235050 - ProPEXLF Drop Ear Brass Elbow, 1/2" PEX x 1/2" FIP and not worryabout having to transition. Typically shower heads only need ½” tubing, especially since everything is low-flow.
I used male 3/4" with female 1/2" brass to step down to 1/2" shower head feed. Make sure fitting is also tapered on the 3/4" nipple end so no leaks. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone
Yes, that adapter can thread into the LF4237575 drop ear elbow.
If it is the same size, then it should fit the adapter.
Most ProPEX fittings are made in the United States. Drop ear elbows (including part A3041511) are made in Italy.
