The ProPEX® Lead-free Ice Maker Box with snap-in frame includes a 1/2" lead-free brass valve with 1/4" O.D. compression connection. This high-impact box is an aesthetic, convenient option for connecting to standard ice maker tubing. Two support brackets are provided for easy mounting.
Uponor's lead-free brass transition fittings, valves and wall boxes carry the NSF us-pw-G marking for lead-free compliance to meet state lead-free legislation, and exceed the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act. Now you can combine lead-free brass fittings with Uponor's PEX tubing, EP offering and ProPEX Out-of-the-Wall Support System for a complete lead-free solution from the inlet to the faucet. The new lead-free offerings feature Uponor's unique ProPEX fitting system for strong, durable connections without the need for torches, glues, solvents or gauges.

ProPEX Ice Maker Box - Two thumbs up
Good piece of equipment, exactly what I needed. Installation was easy, due in large part to the fact that we happened to have rear-access to the location through a closet. No problems, clean installation. I'm sold on PEX: our water flows & tastes much better since we converted our plumbing from our old galvanized pipes to PEX!

Convenient and Easy To Use
The ice maker box is very easy to install. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the support brackets are not as sturdy as I would like to see. Other than that, it is a great product.

Best Ice Maker for a Pex system.

Good Value & Functional Box
While this box is designed for new installs before the drywall goes up, I was able to adapt it to work for install in an existing wall. The box itself is a little on the flimsy side, but will get the job done. The valve and PEX connector are solid and worked well with no leaks on the first try.
