Gas Retention & Core Depressor Valve, 1/4" MFL x 1/4" FFL

I'll start off by saying the double seal design is junk. after repeated use you'll need to change the seals rather quickly, which is a pain with 2 seals. THE REAL PROBLEM is the replacement seal rite o rings dont actually fit. At first they did, then I had to mix and match o ring sizes to get it to seal. Poor design exicusion, great idea. I'm going to replace them with a different brand.

It was very hard to tighten and still leaks. Double o-ring designed fault. I am at HVAC service technician.

Easy to put on with no risk of thermal shock to my hands. Really enjoyed that I could backseat the valve and keep the lines charged while removing the other fittings.

It keeps your fingers safe from burn. Only a tiny spit when removing.

Works great, very little gas loss when connecting or removing devices

Attempting to use on liquid line results in refrigerant leaking out of every imaginable place on this product. Ive tried adjusting countless times as Id love for this to actually work but to no avail.

I use this valve on HVAC equipment, allows minimal refrigerant loss.

This is the second Gas Retention valve I have purchased. The first one and all of the many other Yellow Jacket (Ritchie Engineering) products I own have been virtually flawless. This one, however, was not. As I rotate the stem about 330° of rotation is fine but then it becomes hard to turn and this is consistent throughout the length of the travel of the valve stem. I believe the stem is bent.

Don't know why I didn't get these sooner. No Moe gas loss from disconnecting gauges or cold fingers!
