Webstone Isolation Flanges with Drain are designed for residential and commercial use with all 2 bolt flanged circulator pumps. The unitary construction of the brass body and flange provide strength and versatility for any application where a pipe and flange meet. This valve is the only choice to use in a closed system where a large port drain and fill valve is required.

Perfect isolation valves!
Since you would have to buy flanges to install a circulation pump, (in order to save some money) use these isolators which will allow you to be able to remove the Circ pump from the system, and replace it if necessary, with minimal effort. Though I haven't had to use them for that yet, they were real helpful when I was draining and filling and refilling the system a number of times while fixing other problems.

I would NOT buy this product again
Installed a new stainless steel pump in a loop with these isolation flanges. They lasted about 1 1/2 weeks and one of the flanges snapped in half, water sprayed and leaked all over the floor, damaged some electronic controls on the wall and the pump seized up. Something like a $500 mistake using these flimsy things. Buy something made of heavier construction. Pump and flanges were mounted in the standard vertical position.

Versatile flange
Allows for pump isolation and access to the system. Allows an external pump to circulate the system during pump replacement. Better than isolation flange and purge-and-fill valve separately.

Perfect Fit
High quality and perfect fit for Taco $ Grundfos circulators. For about what you would pay for a ball valve you get the benefits of purge/drain port which you attached your garden hose to.
Spend a few dollars now and never worry again about how to purge the air out of your loop !

Q: Does the drain connect to the threaded end or the flange end? The picture makes it look like it connects to the threaded end.

The pump will connect/mate up to the flange ends of the valves; the female ends of the valves are the inlet/outlet from the pump, connecting to the piping coming in and out; the capped male fittings are for “garden” hose connections used to fill/drain your system. These valves work very well for this set-up and save you a few extra fittings/connections. Nice way to isolate/flush/fill a system using standard female garden hose connections. Scott
