This item is for non-potable (non-human consumption) water applications only.
Series 911 combination fill valve and backflow preventer consists of a Model 9D backflow preventer and Model 1156F feed water pressure regulator in one pre-assembled unit. This valve, for use in commercial and residential hydronic heating systems, is designed for use on boiler feed lines to provide make-up water to the boiler and prevent backflow when supply pressure fails below system pressure.

Easy Solution to Complex Radiant Antifreeze System
Residential Radiant System has been operating for 13 years. They system has 10 zones, two of which are outside loops. The system has never flushed, water chemistry never tested and make-up water was setup from their private well. Upon testing boiler water chemistry, no antifreeze was detected. After draining and cleaning the system, installed an antifreeze holding tank, constant pressure demand pump and a B911, 1/2" Bronze Combination Fill Valve & Backflow Preventer, System is now running like new with great heat transfer and the correct antifreeze protection plus a make-up system to add antifreeze instead of well water which creates water chemistry issues.

Not recommended
Took three tries to get one that worked. And the third required me to use the backflow preventer from the second one. Problems: 1. did not regulate pressue 2. body cracked 3. Discard valve on backflow preventer constantly dripped. Supply House was quick to send a new one. No issues there.

High quality
These are the only autofill combos I stock and for good reason. I've have many issues with other brands where the valves in the backflow of water fill sieze up, not allowing the boiler to fill after a service

Solved my over pressurizing boiler issue
