1/2" Threaded Pro-Pal Full Port Ball Valve w/ Hose Drain

I put the valve right on with a 3" brass nipple (not included) Looks good! And what's cool is how the valve, when turned in the off position, channels the water to the drain/hose connection for easy expansion tank removal. No need to drain your system! I'd refer this product to anybody. And already have.

You can put this together from 3 ball valves, a T-fitting, hose barb etc etc… but you would have a big contraption and would you save much money? By un bolting the handle you can reposition it to determine which side the valve operates. I am using this on top of my expansion tank on my hydronic heating system. I can now check the pressure in the tank by just shutting this valve, hooking a short hose up to drain into a bucket, and open the hose valve to relieve all pressure from the tank. Now I can check/set the tank pressure or replace the tank without dumping the whole system water. A second use is to unbolt and reverse the valve to drain or flush the main system through the hose barb. This is a very nice compact option that is worth the $$$ in my opinion

After laboring for hours with the routine maintenance of descaling & flushing my 3 marine A/C units aboard our boat I decided I was going to plumb in bypass valves similar to what's required by code for demand water heaters ... problem was I couldn't find a valve specific to my application UNTIL I came across the Supplyhouse website. These valves are PERFECT, seem to be well crafted and the buying experience afforded by your company is second to none!

A 4 star rating only because I needed to add a close pipe nipple to install or it would be a 5 star. Good product and works well. Now, if the manufacturer would only add that 50 cent pipe nipple..............or better yet, male upstream threads instead of female.

Got this valve to place before boiler expansion tank so I could replace tank in the future without shutting down boiler. It's great. I added a pressure gauge to it to read pressure in tank. Just right.

Supply House recommended this valve when I bought a new expansion tank (Extrol 4.4 Gallon, SKU: 102-1, Brand: Amtrol) for my furnace boiler. It only cost a few dollars, and it will allow me to easily isolate the tank from the system for testing and replacement -- good idea! Installed without issue. The only thing I would suggest is that they also include the threaded nipple I had to purchase at a hardware store.

When I replaced my air separator and expansion tank I added one of these valves between them to allow the tank to be drain and separated from the system for accurate charging and pressure measurement. Webstone makes some great valves.
