This boiler is well designed and built. It was shipped very quickly, lift gate truck delivered as promised, and it's logically configured.

The boiler was easy to install, and it works quite well. The only reason for not giving it five stars was that it was packaged poorly. The plastic tie bands were not strong enough, and the boiler had come off the shipping pallet. Fortunately the unit was not damaged. Metal ties would likely address the issue.

Great boiler & great company
The first boiler I ordered was destroyed in transit (shipper did not properly secure the load) and SupplyHouse was great in processing a replacement and getting it out right away. The second unit arrived intact and exactly as described. I purchased the GO2 Beckett burner, OVD-6 powered flue damper system, and the exterior temperature probe for the Hydrostat unit. Since I was replacing a 35 year old Weil-McLain, everything was close including the plumbing and electrical. Easy install, fired right up and tuned with no difficulty. So much quieter than the predecessor!

Awesome boiler
Boiler works great and fit and finish is very nice. Very fast shipping. The first one I received was damage by the shipping company. It was replaced almost instantly and I had the new one in 3 days. Awesome company to work with. A+++++ customer service

Well made boiler
Well made and much more finished than my 2 previous boilers from Burnham. They both cracked after about 9 years (18 total). My only disappointed was when I needed it immediately, and could not pick up at warehouse. ( I live near the N.J. warehouse) Supply House has no way for buyers to pick up merchandise at the warehouse. Had to nurse my old boiler along until delivery. (very stressful in sub freezing weather.)

The "Gold" standard of oil boilers!
The WGO series of Weil Mclain oil boilers is excellent. The WGO-2 unit is a nice tight package, easy to install and functions without issue. The 20 year old unit I replaced was also a WGO-2 unit. It had developed a leak in the water jacket and due to its age and service life I simply chose to replace it. The unit arrived well packed for shipment and installed with a minimum of changes to the exiting piping.

good purchase
My wgo 2 is working great to heat my 1300 sq. ft. home in PA. It was almost a direct swap with my 20 year old WM boiler so the install wasn't too bad. It has only been a month but the boiler is working great. Very happy with the site and delivery was free and extremely fast.

Modern but not gimmicky
I bought this at the recommendation of my installer. It replaced a boiler installed in 1940! Needless to say it is much smaller, more efficient, and best of all it's not so smelly.
The recommendation I got was that these Weil Mclain boilers are so standard that in the future just about anyone will be able to work on them and parts are easy to come by. True, there are a few units available that have slightly higher efficiency numbers (they also cost more) but I like the peace of mind knowing that this one will be easy to service.

Not Disappointed Nor Surprised
I did not hesitate to purchase this boiler because I am very familiar with the name Weil Mclain.Having over 35 years of heating and air conditioning experience it was a no brainer when I needed a replacement boiler for my niece. This was during the worst cold snap in the history of the Washington DC area and when it arrived it only needed to be wired, piped in and the heat was on.

Q: The brochure for the WGO-2 lists the chimney requirement at six inches by 15 feet, the diagram shows a 7 inch vent on the boiler. Can I reduce the 7 inch vent collar on the boiler to six if the chimney only needs to be six inches (by 15ft)?

Q: Can this vent out the top? My old Crane does and in a small area. I believe I can squeeze in the out the back vent, but top out would be way easier. 1,700 sq. ft. hydroponic floor heat, no DHW needed.

Q: Is this boiler to be used with an in concrete in floor heat tubing system? We have a 900 Sq ft building with in floor heat but need a natural gas boiler and don't know which one to get.
