Constructed with our patented tear away boot design the TuffBox is the way to go when installing a register box. Molded from polymers the adaptable one piece boot design of the TuffBox is flexible enough to conform to drywall backing eliminating leakage between grille and box. Standoffs of 5/8" provide the correct depth to accommodate strapping or furring used with drywall. If those won't work for you simply screw from the inside to anywhere in the framing, the TuffBox can take it!

Easy install, versatile, good price.
Had to add two new ducts for an addition. It was too small of a job for any local HVAC outfit to be bothered with, so I did it myself. for my system is 7", and I had 25' of 7" ducting to work with. Try finding 7" connectors and let me know what you come up with. This register box has a stepped connector for 8", 7" and 6". Just cut off any step(s) you don't need, connect your ducting, and attach the box to a stud. Done.
