I would not buy again!!!
Poorly packaged! Shipped UPS. Arrived dented in cardboard box. How about putting some padding, bubble wrap etc. around expansion tank!

DID THE JOB
This large capacity expansion tank was probably overkill on my part, but the system is antiquated and hinky, so I figured to err on the side of caution. Once installed, along with a new heat circulator, the system was humming like a champ--a good thing in the crazy early cold snap we had this year.

The right tank at the right price
I am using this tank on a gassification wood boiler system with a pressurized storage tank of approximately 1000 gallons. Fit the bill perfectly doing the calculations. Easy to install and light enough to carry down the stairs by ones self.

Reasonably priced solution
WE had been replacing bladders in the old tank (22 gal) So we upsized to this unit & the results are better than expected.Plus it has a 5yr warranty.

Q: My heating system incorprates an 1100 gallon heat storage tank. So the total volume including boiler and infloor heat along with baseboard is approximately 1300 gallons. Considering volume expansion across 90 degrees celsius for all this water; I have figured the maximum expansion of the 1300 gallons would be 24.2 gallons. Your 32 gallon tank only accepts 11 gallons max. What size expansion tank do I need to accomodate 24.2 gallons of expansion?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe SX-90V, sku 118-153 can accept up to 34 gallons. It is alright to oversize an expansion tank, however undersizing should be avoided.
