Appion 3/8"/1/4" Speed-Y Splitter
Prior from buying this Speed-Y, I used to rely on pulling vacuum through my Titan Max digital manifold. I am so glad I chose to bring in these Speed-Y and MegaFlow hoses into my toolbox. While I used the 3/8"/1/2" Speed-Y in my most recent job and not this 3/8"/1/4" unit, I completed this job where I pulled vacuum on a 5-ton residential system to 250 microns in less than 8 minutes! My Yellow Jacket SuperEvac 8 CFM vacuum pump barely got warm! If you value your time and are looking for more efficient ways to perform these procedures, this setup is highly recommended! Taking into account the experience with the larger unit and the build quality, you could extrapolate that if your vacuum pump has a 1/4" intake port only, this device could still improve the vacuuming time significantly. Appion makes good quality products that meet a variety of HVAC needs. This Speed-Y is another example of their dedication to building quality products.
