Spring OPEN, powered close - NOT reversable
The description is incorrect. Ordered one and it was opposite of what I expected. Unit was well made and functioned smoothly, but not as described. From what I have found both the 6508 and 6608 operate with the same functionality so be careful. The Honeywell units are easily reversible.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHello, thanks for writing in. Rigorous cycle testing in extreme temperatures (over 140° F) to simulate attic summer conditions. Functional testing performed at extreme environmental conditions of -40°F/90% RH and 150°F/15% RH.
