1-Gang White Low Profile InBox for Flat Surface, Retrofit (Vertical)

If you live in Florida or other Hurricane prone zones you will likely find that exterior outlets must be waterproof boxes with covers that allow you to close the box cover when you have something plugged into the receptacle. What they sell in the stores is ridiculous because the finish product literally sticks out from the face of your wall at least 8". I found this InBox product on line and while it does require you to cut out the CMU block wall, the box fully recesses into the block so the cover is lays flush on the exterior wall and only sticks out about 1/2". They are white but can be painted to blend in with your exterior paint. I rated it a four star rather than a five star because the only downside I see is that to open the box is a little difficult just due to the way it fastens shut, maybe this will adjust as the boxes are used, we shall see. Overall a much better look on the face of your house while also providing for the requirements of the NEC & Florida Building Code. I am very satisfied with this product!

This installation was a retrofit on existing vinyl siding. Measured and marked the opening, cut the whole, wired the box, and closed it up. Very neat and professional job.
