Armstrong's Astro 2 Circulator is intended for circulating water or ethylene glycol solutions in closed hydronic or solar heating systems. It is designed with no mechanical seals or couplers to replace, and no lubrication is required.

great product but needs to be replaced every few years
my pump is installed as a whole house hot water recirculating system. after several years, it develops a slight clicking noise that gets transmitted to the pipes. the pump itself does not fail, but i have to replace it because of the noise. the good news is that it really does a good job recirculating.

So far so good!
The different speeds allow me to alter the effect from the circulating hot water. I love how quiet it is! This is my second Armstrong pump in two different applications in the last year. They both are performing perfectly.

Replacement for existing pump
I replaced a 15 year old unit after the plastic impeller came apart. I hope this new one has a better impeller!

good value for the money
Good alternative to bronze/brass body pumps for domestic hot water, appears to have been redesigned from the older astro versions that were made fro Armstrong by Wilo hopefully they eliminated the problem older versions had with the impellers failing.

Q: Does this replace the Armstrong Astro 50 (not 50B) I've been looking for aArmstrong Astro 50 All over the web, haven't been able to find one.I'm pretty sure they have done away with this model and was wondering if this is Dave replacement I need.If not could you please help me Find the correct replacement For my specs.My Armstrong Astro 50: amp: 0,95 watt: 110 Rpm: 2800 115v-60hz working pressure140psi Max max water temperature230°F(110°c). (p.s) If not can you please direct me to the right pump to order Thank you!
