The Series 100 is a leader in applications such as hydronic heating and domestic hot water circulation, with over 10 million units installed. Series 100's three-piece, oil lubricated design provides for easy field service with bearings, shaft and seal all housed in an assembly which can be easily repaired or replaced. The Series 100 oil lubricated motor is specifically designed for the Series 100, and its resilient mounting provides quiet, dependable service with minimum annual lubrication. UL and CSA listings are standard. The design of this motor, coupled with its overall hydraulic performance, allows the Series 100 to overcome system related noise caused by valves, fittings, or piping.

A bit pricey but perfect!
Replaced exact same model unit that was in service at least 20 years. The same high build quality and standards as the original unit made the price and installation a bit less of a bitter pill to swallow: You DO get what you pay for.

Q: I have this pump installed as a freeze protection device in a chilled water system supplying chilled water to an AHU chilled water coil. The control system only operates the pump at water temperatures below 38F. Is the pump designed be used in a chilled water system with the pump turned off? In the off state, is the pump causing a high chilled water pressure loss and blocking flow?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThis pump is cast iron and is not designed for use with potable water (which causes cast iron to rust). The included impeller, part 189128LF, is made from noryl plastic.
