A Repeat Buyer of this Product

I use these pumps in my home heating system, a mono-flow 1&1/4" main line with nono-flow tees for each room. I am running two boilers: an oil fired Slant Fin, 70 W 98 and a coal/wood Harman SF 160. The boilers are inter connected and valved off so that I can operate either one independently, as I see fit. These pumps work very well in this setup. My home is well insulated with a heating area of 2,700 SF.

So Far So Good ! Time Will Tell

Replaced my series 100 NFI B&G old style pump that I installed in 2003 with the new NRF-33. Installation was a snap, Bled the system & fired it up. The little pump is so quiet the only way I could tell it was running was because the zone feed pipe's got hot !! Very Quiet. I'm feeding 2 zones in a 2 story 2800 sq ft home. The response to the thermostat is immediate & the circulation to the farther upstairs zone is strong. If I get half the longevity from this little cost effective pump as the old I'll be Impressed !! TIME WILL TELL

I would definitely buy this again

Better then most other pumps that are this size. I use this for an outside wood burning boiler and it circulated the water far better then the taco pumps. After buying two taco pumps (007) and having them fail and fall short of expectation this is a great choice for an excellent price.

When it does the job it's a good product

I purchased the first pump some time ago because the big monster pump that uses oil to lube the whole thing was far to costly. If the impellor didn't leak the motor would fail etc.I have zone heating. Used the NRF33 on one zone and the old pump still working on the other zone. Then the motor on the old pump burned out and I replaced it with a spare. Then I ordered my second NRF33 from PEX to hold in reserve when the other monster gives out. Pex has good prices and fast delivery. Glad I found them.

The Series 100 pump is still available, so the replacement would be sku 106189.

Q: Is this the same pump I would use when they refer to a priority zoning circulator pump.

This pump can be used for priority zoning. It would need to be wired this way to the switching relay.

Q: Can I replace my series 100 NFI 1/12 H.P. pump with the series 100 NFR-33, 1/15 H.P. pump. Will I lose performance? Increase noise/vibration. Thank-you Mike in Illinois.

You can switch to NRF-33, but keep in mind that it is a smaller pump. You can only use it if it matches the specifications of your system. As long as the new pump is big enough, you should not lose performance or hear more noise. It may even work more efficiently if your previous pump was oversized.

Q: I'am buying a new Laars hydro therm hot water boiler, I have 5 zones in my home, of 3 are radiant under floor heat, I have seen homes in new england that instead of zone valves they use one NRF- 33 series pump per zone. Instead of one BG 100 standard pump. Will I get better heating to the radiant floor heat by having a larger volume of water flow from using multiple pumps instead of the water passing thru zone valves that reduce to only 3/8 of an inch going thru the zone valve

No, you will not. You can zone by pump or by valve, but the result will be the same.
