Description

The Power-Deuce is a self-cleaning brush with rust proof, stainless steel bristles for plumbing and HVAC projects. The brush actually removes copper residue and any buildup when you you switch from a fitting brush to the OD cleaning brush. A heavy-duty ABS housing is impact resistant and protects bristles so they retain their shape and prolongs brush life.

Saves a ton of time and does a better job prepping pipe

I used the 3/4" version of this to plumb a workshop for air using harris stay brite 8 bearing solder. they work really well, inside and out. the shaft is a bit thin and I can see how others could have broken it if not careful. It is also fairly pricey, as it is a disposable item as the brushes get a bit matted down. But I was able to get through about 200 joints before noticing any significant play. It continues to work, but then requires more patients and passing it in/out of the joint to ensure full coverage.

Worked great for 30 seconds

I gave this a try cleaning a 3/4 elbow and it worked pretty good. I pulled the brush inside the cone and proceeded to clean one side of my copper pipe. That's as far as I got. The outer cone stopped spinning as the inner hex shaft continued to spin. I can't say if I got a bad one or if this is how they are. The 3 ends were very clean once I was done but if you need one of these tools per side of pipe you'll go broke. Not sure I'll try another one.

These drill powered, duplex brushes work great.

Especially if you have a lot of fittings to make up. Prep only takes a few seconds, eliminating the need for laborious cleaning with abrasives or brushing by hand. Well made lasts through 100's of fittings.

Drill only

These are great filltin and pipe brushes. Just don't use your impact driver as it'll instantly round out the shank through the plastic

never again with the emery cloth or brushes

The only reason to not give this five stars is because I have only used it on one job. But on that one job, it made joint prep a ton easier. We'll see how durable it is, but even if I had to replace these every couple weeks, they'd be worth it.
