High-quality gate valves
I used one of these when replacing a galvanized service line. This valve was added after the water meter as the first shutoff to avoid dealing with a seized curb stop the city refused to replace. This valve has super high-quality, heavy-duty construction as can be told from the weight. It takes several turns to shut this valve off, but that means you get extra torque to really close it well. It closely resembles the gate valve that I found buried since 1946, which amazingly still worked!

Get what you pay for
I guess I could go 4 stars because of you get what you pay for. One should not expect 5 starts for really a 2-3 star product, but at that price. Does not shut-off completely. Motion on the valve has a funny feel, not a feel of something solid.

Bought 4 and they all leak
They don't close properly and slow leak. All four. The handles also have a lot of slop in them and the nuts holding the handle are rusting. Buy something better especially if you have to un-sweat them to replace them like I now have to.

Bought 6, none shuts off fully
Bought six of these, fully installed them, and to my frustration, none of them shuts off fully. So now I have to redo the whole project and Supply House will only refund them If I mail them all back.
