Copper pipe fits inside fitting Sent from my iPhone
Yes these are sweat joint over copper, to pex
The pictured fitting will sweat (soldier) on OVER the copper pipe. I think there are other fittings available that would soldier inside the copper pipe. They will look shinny on the copper pipe end. Hope this helps.
over the copper!
Looks as if it solders over 3/4 copper and gets crimped to pex.
over the pipe
the 3/4" copper goes into the fitting, the pex goes on the outside of the ribbed end. A suggestion if you're trying to make this connection would be a gatorbite connector. Not sure if they sell at this website, but they do at the box stores. You wouldn't have to solder the copper that way.
3/4" pex on one end and 3/4" copper pipe on the other, the fitting going over the pipe.

This fitting will work with Viega PEX, but it is a crimp/clamp fitting (part 62035 is a PEX Press fitting).
This fitting will fit on a 1/2" copper pipe the same as it would fit on a 1/2" copper coupling. The fitting you are looking for is SKU #: H060500. Here is the link to the product page: http://www.pexsupply.com/HydroPEX-H060500-1-2-PEX-x-1-2-Copper-Fitting-Brass-Adapter-3760000-p .
Fits over 1/2" copper tube (female).
No, you cannot use crimp fittings on PEX-AL-PEX. You can either use the fittings on this page http://www.pexsupply.com/PEX-Al-PEX-Compression-Fitting-Assemblies-239000 . or the fittings on this page http://www.pexsupply.com/Multipress-MLC-PEX-AL-PEX-Fittings-1533000 only.
PEX is not like copper in that it is not sized based off of the ID or the OD. If the PEX tubing has 5/8" stamped on it then yes this fitting will work for your application.
